I really enjoyed Ever After. I liked Hallie from the moment she appeared on the page and really wanted to punch her stepsister Shelly in the face the first time we saw her. Hallie was such a strong character, yet I felt like she didn't really see that about herself. I loved how she totally stood up to Jamie when she first met him and basically told him off. Honestly it made me love her even more.

I've loved Jamie and his twin brother Tod since we met them as little boys in Sweet Liar. I loved that we got to see who and what they became as adults. Jamie and Tod are identical twins and usually the fact that someone can tell the twins apart is a big deal, yet it seemed to just be accepted this time without being anything special. I almost think part of it was because Jamie's family fell in love with Hallie right along with Jamie. Added to the fact that since Jamie's injury, his family walks around him on pins and needles, I don't really think they knew what to think when Hallie didn't treat Jamie as an injured person all the time.

I loved the chemistry between Jamie and Hallie and also loved the fact that 2 ghost were working to get them together. Some of the tricks they pulled had me laughing out loud at times. I have to say reading about Jamie and Hallie felt more like reading the classic Montgomery/Taggert books for me and I have to say that is part of the reason Ever After is my favorite book in the Nantucket Brides trilogy to date.
